According to the announcement, Fujitsu's stock trading system "ARROWHEAD" was used in other companies (OEM) storage, and the Fail Safe that automatically switched to backup storage was "off".

In addition, even in the "off" state, if a failure occurs, the specification will always be switched to backup, and there is a similar description in the storage manufacturer's manual.

However, the specification of the storage changed due to the OS update, and even if a failure occurred, it would not be automatically switched to the backup unless the function was "on".However, the storage maker did not reflect this change in the manual, and the Fujitsu side could not find the specification change, so the automatic backup switching was operated in the "off" state.

As a measure to prevent recurrence, Fujitsu will strengthen cooperation with OEM vendors, including the combination of product specifications and manuals, and thorough notification of specification additions and changes.
